DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM CHICAGO AIRPORTS Rockford is about 65 miles northwest of Chicago O'Hare Airport and 85 miles northwest of Chicago Midway Airport. You can rent a car at O'Hare or Midway and drive to Rockford. O'Hare to Rockford is about a 70- to 80-minute drive; Midway to Rockford is about a 95- to 110-minute drive. O'Hare Airport to Clock Tower Resort and Other Hotels Depart the airport on I-190 for about a mile. Following the signs to Rockford, turn right onto the ramp at exit 1C. At the bottom of the ramp, stay to the right and immediately take the next exit ramp to get onto I-90 West (Northwest Tollway) to Rockford. Stay on I-90 for about 60 miles. Exit at US-20 Business (State Street) and go straight through the stoplight at the bottom of the ramp to the Clock Tower Resort. Most of the other hotels are located just west of the Clock Tower Resort, on either side of East State Street or just north or south on Bell School Road. After another 1.5 miles, exit at Alpine Road. Go right (north) onto Alpine Road and go through the stoplight at Sandy Hollow Road. Take the next right at Hydraulic Road. Rockford Systems is the third business on the left. Turn into the parking lot just before the building. Midway Airport to Clock Tower Resort and Other Hotels Departing the airport, turn right (north) onto Cicero Avenue (IL-50). Stay on Cicero Avenue for about 6 miles. Take the ramp left (west) onto I-290 (Eisenhower Expressway). Stay on I-290 for about 23 miles. Take the ramp (right) onto I-90 West (Northwest Tollway). Stay on I-90 for about 50 miles. Exit at US-20 Business (State Street) and go straight through the stoplight at the bottom of the ramp to the Clock Tower Resort. BUS FROM CHICAGO AIRPORTS O'Hare Airport to Rockford One bus company goes between O'Hare Airport and Rockford: Van Galder Bus Company (Coach USA) Van Galder offers hourly service between O'Hare and Rockford about 17 times a day at a cost of $40 for a round trip. To find the bus, follow the signs within the airport to the Bus/Shuttle Transportation Center located behind the O'Hare Hilton hotel. The first stop is at the Clock Tower Resort. The second stop, which is by request only, is at the Holiday Inn. The last stop is at the bus terminal, where there are two hotels: Candlewood Suites and the Ramada Plaza Hotel. Hertz rental cars are available within walking distance of the bus terminal. Midway Airport to Rockford Van Galder Bus (see listing above) goes between Midway and Rockford and back seven times a day. A round-trip fare is $44 per person. The first Rockford stop is at the Clock Tower Resort. The second stop is at the bus terminal, where there are two hotels: Candlewood Suites and the Ramada Plaza Hotel. Hertz rental cars are available within walking distance of the bus terminal. Rockford Systems does not provide transportation to the seminar from the hotels, so please arrange for a rental car. Rockford Systems is about 6 miles southwest of the hotel area. FLYING DIRECTLY INTO ROCKFORD AIRPORT The Northwest Chicagoland International Airport at Rockford (RFD) is located about 5 miles south of Rockford (10 miles south of hotels). Two airlines currently serve RFD. Allegiant Air goes to/from Rockford to Las Vegas, Nevada Orlando/Sanford, Florida Phoenix/Mesa, Arizona and Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida. Direct Air goes to/from Fort Meyers/Punta Gorda, Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The majority of Rockford's hotels are located about 10 miles northeast of Rockford Airport, and Rockford Systems is about 6.5 miles northeast of the airport; therefore, you will need to rent a car at the airport. Avis, Hertz, National, and Alamo rental cars are available at the airport. Driving From Rockford Airport to Clock Tower Resort and Other Hotels Turn left (west) out of the airport onto Airport Drive. Turn right (north) at the stoplight onto Beltline Road. Keep going straight (north) on this road through the stoplight; it turns into IL-2 (S. Main Street). After about 0.5 miles, take the ramp right (east) onto US-20 East toward Belvidere. Stay on US-20 East for about 3 miles, and exit at Alpine Road. At the stoplight at the top of the exit ramp, turn left (north) onto Alpine Road. Stay on Alpine Road for about 2.5 miles and turn right on E. State Street. Stay on E. State Street for about 3 miles.
