These infrared light curtains and single-beam safety devices are available for applying to machines for point-of-operation and perimeter safeguarding. Each system consists of a transmitter and receiver that provides a protective plane of light formed by the aligned transmitter and receiver cells. Any interruption of this plane of light will cause the machine to stop and/or will not allow a cycle until the blockage is removed.
The V4000 hydraulic press brake safeguarding system is a camera-based sensor and evaluation system that is available for safeguarding hydraulic press brakes. The V4000 system consists of a sender and a receiver that is mounted on the moving beam of the press brake. A three-dimensional protection field is formed between the sender and receiver and travels with the movement of the press brake's beam. Any interruption of the protection field by an object results in an off signal to stop the movement of the press brake.
