Touch Sensor Strip

A touch sensor strip along with a safety interface control provide a Category 3 safety system. The pressure-senstive touch sensor strip is designed for use in low-voltage applications. This sensor strip has a flat, 1" wide by .3" thick, 4-wire design. It offers a user-friendly surface that provides a safe stop signal when touched.

An RKR-115 interface control consists of a safety controller, power supply, force-guided relays, terminals, and fuses all inside an enclosure. An on/off selector switch and a lighted reset push button are on the front of the enclosure. If the sensor strip is touched and stops machine motion, then the reset button must be pushed to allow a restart of the machine. Connection of the sensor strip and interface provides a Category 3 safety system when properly integrated with the existing control system.

If an RKR-115 interface is not required, a DIN-rail mounted safety relay control module is available. Each 24-V DC DIN-rail module has 2 NO dry contacts and can be mounted into an existing control.
