Flexible Lock-Arm Safety Shields

These flexible lock-arm shields are made of black, premium-grade copolymer that is resistant to coolants and most common chemicals. The modular, segmented arm rotates 360 degrees which provides unlimited adjustment possibilities, and locks in place! These flexible lock-arms are offered in standard sizes of 12", 18", and 24".

The shield can be used on lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, band saws, woodworking machines, and similar equipment. It places a barrier between an operator and flying chips (swarf), sparks, and splashing coolant generated at the point of operation. The transparent portion of these lock-arm shields is constructed of high-impact-resistant, 3/16"-thick polycarbonate. The flexible lock-arm shields have two mounting options: direct or magnetic. The direct-mount base can be attached directly to a machine with the furnished 1/4-20 button-head cap screw. The magnetic base can be attached to any ferrous surface on the machine with the 3"-diameter, 80-lb pull magnet. If an adequate flat, ferrous mounting surface is not available, an optional steel mounting plate (Part No. FKT-214; see below) can be permanently attached to the machine to hold the magnetic base.
