This control is designed to replace the drum switch type motor control used on milling and drilling machines. It also meets or exceeds OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 (lockout/tagout), ANSI B11.8 (drilling, milling, and boring), and NFPA 79 (electrical standard for industrial machinery.)
This control reverses the motor "on the fly" when drilling and tapping operations are required. It is a simple solution for this type of operation. To start the motor in forward or reverse, press the appropriate button. Once the motor is running, press the button for the opposite direction to change the rotation of the motor. A motor jog/run selector switch may also have been furnished. A red emergency-stop palm button is included.
